Healthy for Summer

Eating good foods goes hand in hand with working out. I know I can be difficult to eat well all of the time, I personally love French fries and probably eat them a couple times a week. A lot of us have a difficulty balancing the good foods and the bad foods. If you don’t, good for you! I wish I could be more like you!

One things that is important to say is to never limit yourself on what you eat! People do not realize that when you limit what you eat your body will hold onto fats and if you are looking to lose weight you will not. Your body needs fats. So, what is important is to eat more whole foods. Most importantly eat what you love. Writing this I am by no means telling you that you should change your diet and the things you eat, but if we want to live a long and happy life we should monitor what we consume!

Whole Foods

It is vital when focusing on what you are consuming that you pay attention to a number of things. Eating more whole foods pretty much means that you are eating more fresh foods. Some good whole foods are: eggs, fish, spinach, mushrooms, poultry. Having a colorful diet is good in general! Your brain loves colors so if you can eat things that have a lot of colors in it do so!

I love snacking on foods, I could honestly eat all day long. So, some good snacking foods are: nuts, fresh oats, fresh fruits.

Fun Foods to Eat

Acai Bowls or Smoothies

I’m sure we have all seen the pretty pictures on the internet of Acai bowls. I love eating acai bowls because they are so fun to decorate! I usually blend a number of fruits together with some protein powder and top it with granola, chai seeds, and more fruit (cut up).

Spinach

I am probably the only person that thinks spinach is fun to eat, but you can make so much with it. You can through some on a plate with some type of grilled meat to top, with some different colored bell peppers and you have got yourself a decently colorful meal

DIY granola bars

I have never actually tried this but I have definitely seen plenty of recipes for it on the internet (Pinterest, that’s where I spend a lot of my time). I will most likely try this over the summer though!

Tips for when you feel Bloated

Drink detox waters

Organic unfiltered raw Apple cider vinegar- this is good to drink twice a day (morning and night). Mixing apple cider vinegar and water helps with your digestion, so it will help clear your system.

Lemon water!- I loved drinking lemon water before I knew it was even good for me. Drinking lemon water is to detoxify your body. Though drinking too much is not the best, because of the acids in it. So be careful!

Teas

There are multiple teas that you can drink to help detoxify your body, just be weary to what is in them. Pay attention to the ingredients on the label!

Healthy Youtuber

I obviously love YouTube, there are just so many people who love what they are doing and putting out good content that we can learn from!! I love watching peoples what I eat in a day videos. One of my favorites to watch right now is Becca Bristow!

As I said earlier eating foods that you enjoy is important! Create balance for yourself, so that you can live a happy life!
